Participation grants

Three participation grants are made available to early career scientists interested in co-leading an editorial special issue to be published on Marine Ecology. The aim of the paper will be synthetizing the main messages emerging from the symposium, setting the scene also for the next EMBS.
Each selected researcher will be awarded a grant corresponding to 300 euros.

Candidate evaluation will be carried out by the Organizing Committee and winners will be communicated by July 1th 2024.
The awarded researchers will have the obligation to follow all symposium activities.

If interested, please send the participation application form together with a short CV (max 1 page, with a short biosketch and a maximum of 5 publications) by email to Chiara Silvestrini no later than 13.00 pm CET of the 15th of May 2024.

Best presentation awards

The EMBS support the participation of students and early career researchers with three different awards for the three best oral presentations at the congress.

The prizes will consist of:
FIRST PRIZE: reimbursements for congress registration
SECOND PRIZE: a Cressi Manta waterproof watch
THIRD PRIZE: the APEKS 30LT RUCKSACK
Second and third prize are provided by Sub Evolution

The evaluation for the prizes awarding will be made by the Organizing Committee and the names of those entitled will be announced on 20 September 2024, during the closing ceremony of the Congress.

Anyone wishing to participate is asked to send an extended abstract of their contribution (no more than 4 single-spaced pages, including figures) together with a short CV (max 1 page), by email to Chiara Silvestrini no later than 13.00 pm CET of the 15th of May 2024.
